Mukono Supporters Meeting – Wednesday 1st February 2012

AGENDA

1. Notes of the Supporters meeting held on Wednesday 9th November 2011.

 2. Mukono Visitor – Timothy Njakasi visited Guildford in January – report on activities.

3. Lucy Nathanson – Lucy visited Mukono as a student from Surrey University.  She worked in the Mukono Children’s home and stayed at Timothy’s training centre.  On her return she and her friends raised money to buy 3 cows (from Timothy’s branch of Send a Cow).  She will be pleased to share her experiences with supporters of The Guildford Mukono Link.

4. Visit to Mukono – February 2012 : Tamsy will be leading a visit to Mukono later in February, during which we will be celebrating the graduation of Bridget, Harriet and Kalule our first three sponsored students.  She will tell supporters of what else we will be doing.

5. Schools Workshop 26 Jan 2012 – report on the workshop held at Worplesdon Primary for linked schools

6. 50th Anniversary of Uganda independence Oct 2012 – discussion on how we might mark this event in Guildford.

7. Logo for the link – to be unveiled!

8. Finance report

9. Subscriptions – 2012 subs due : recommended minimum £10 pa please.

10. Meetings of Mukono Supporters in 2012 – at 7.00 pm at GBC offices:
    -    4th July 2012,
    -    7th November 2012.

11. Reception and Annual General Meeting at the Guildhall on 14th May 2012

 Guildford Mukono Link

The Guildford Mukono Link connects the people of Guildford and the Mukono District, Uganda to develop friendships and mutual respect between both communities.The Link promotes informal exchanges and educational links.

The annual reception and AGM will be held at the Guildhall at 7.00 pm on Monday 14th May 2012.

Please put those dates in your brand new dairy for next year and we hope that you will join us on as many occasions as possible.
